The son of Al Qaeda ringleader Osama bin Laden is planning to become an 'ambassador for peace' between Muslims and the West

Sat, 19 Jan 2008

In an interview with Associated Press, Omar Osama bin Laden said he intends to promote peace by planning a 4800km horse race across North Africa.
"It's about changing the ideas of the Western mind. A lot of people think Arabs - especially the bin Ladens, especially the sons of Osama - are all terrorists. This is not the truth," said 26-year-old Omar.
Omar, the fourth-eldest of Osama bin Laden's 19 children, lived with his father in Afghanistan where he received special training in an al-Qaeda camp in Afghanistan.
He added that he left his father's side in 2000, after realizing that change can not be achieved through violence.
"I don't want to be in that situation to just fight. I like to find another way and this other way may be like we do now, talking," he concluded.
